Goldston House, Rockhampton
Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 12:03PM Last weekend, I flew up to Rockhampton to shoot a friends wedding. I was meeting my husband Mark up there also as he'd been working up that way for the last few weeks. We'd booked to stay at the spectacular Goldston House for part of the weekend. This beautiful old Queenslander is 140 years old and is now a charming old style B&B. Margaret & Darryl Strelow bought the house back in 1993 and have done a stunning job of turning it into a relaxing guest house run by their multi-talented, bubbly daughter Deborah. Nothing is too much trouble for her & she's a masterchef also, cooking up her guests a full breakfast each morning (even tho she insists she's not a morning person!) Mark & I stayed in the breath-taking Fitzroy Room. Anyone getting married up Rockhampton way should definitely book in to stay at Goldston House, and it's perfect for photos!! Imagine getting ready here on your wedding day...

Here's a sneak peek of the wedding I shot whilst up in Rockhampton. Some of the photos were taken at Kershaw Gardens and then here, at the old Customs House on the Fitzroy river. Stylin' ...you two!

Oh, Amy, we love the photo! Thanks so much and we're really looking forward to the rest of them. And thank you for coming up here and being with us and sharing your talent with us:)! Much appreciated!! And, by the way, my mom LOVES the pic and is also looking forward to seeing more:).
How's Mark? Any word yet on wether he'll need surgery or not? Aside from that, we hope everyone's happy and doing great! Oh, did you want the recipe for those cookies? Just let me know:). I told Cherie about how much Billy likes them, I hope she'll get to meet both of the kids at the convention. We won't be able to bring her down for her flight home after all, Mark can't really take the time off from work. Makes us all the more happy that we were able to see you two up here. I hope we will get to see the rest of the Gold Coast crew at the convention, too. It would be nice if Cherie could meet all of them before she leaves.
I'll get going now, but, once again, thank you for the pics. We're eager to see the rest. And THANK YOU so much for taking care of our U.S. pics, too. I'm so glad that we didn't have them all printed up already. You're an absolute sweetheart!!!! Thank you sweetie and we'll see you soon!!!
Love, Us:)
