The Seven(teen) Year Itch
Sunday, July 5, 2009 at 6:51PM These are my very close friends, Johnny and Lisa. They've just celebrated their 17th Anniversary! I wanted to do something a bit different for their anniversary this year. So I thought I'd love to try and recreate the scene from The Seven Year Itch, with Marilyn Monroe. You all know the famous skirt-blowing scene! Unfortunately I couldn't find a location with a breezy subway grate, so I enlisted the help of a good friend Paula, and armed her with one of Johnnys high-powered leaf blowers! We had soo much fun on this shoot & Lisa got quite a few whistles, beeps & toots from passers-by in traffic! I got a few of our mutual friends in on the action too, thanks to Hiedi for the wonderful job on Lisa's hair and makeup, you're a gem! Johnny & Lisa now have this photo on a 20x30" canvas in their bedroom. Awesome! Congratulations you two on 17 years together!!
