Jason & Samara
Friday, March 12, 2010 at 8:37PM It kinda just happened. As love does. Samara moved to Adelaide from NSW and met Jason. They hung out fairly often as friends, and one day it-just-happened! There was a kiss….what did it mean?? It was meant to be. Love sometimes just comes along when you’re not prepared.
Late one afternoon, Jason took Sam out fishing. Everything was planned. The proposal, the ring, the sun setting over the ocean. Perfect. Jason threw his line in & waited. He’d caught something. He asked Sam if she wanted to reel it in. And as she did she saw…a rock. “It’s a rock!” she said, and then turned it around…’Will you marry me?’ was painted on the opposite side of this heart-shaped rock. But there was still something else further down on the line…an engagement ring.
PS. It wasn’t the REAL ring….just in case!

Greetings from friends written on the kitchen wall...

The girls at Mac Cosmetics did Sam's makeup & an absolutely beautiful job!

Sam's sweet mum Vicki helping her get ready.

Phwoar!! Stunning Samara!

Samara with Leticia & Leah.

Once again, I got to shoot a bit of the boys prep too, which you know I love...and also Jack! Jason's adorable dog! Just look at those soppy puppy eyes....oochi boochi!

Jas' brother Phil trying to get the tie right with Andrew just looking on- laughing! No help at all!
Sometimes you just have to call in the big gun to tie a tie. Good on you Nic! Dad's got it!
Samara & her dad Mike arriving for the ceremony

First stop after the ceremony was Glenelg beach. Gorgeous location, loads of character & an awesome jetty. Soo cool for photos...

We seriously laughed ALL day! Everyone put so much effort into the shoot & the results show! It was at least 40 degrees too! (about 104F, I think!) Oh the sand was soo hot!

If Leah looks familiar to some of you it's because I shot her wedding at Cabarita about a year ago. She's still just as cute, as is Leticia...

Oh, Jas...work it, work it!!

Ok I must say...I love this. It's soo them! Fun! Definitely a fave!

Ok, this is a big blog post! But there's just so much we packed into the day. It was great. We briefly stopped at Partridge House to cool down and shoot the breeze, so to speak.

It started getting even hotter in Adelaide... phew! Steamy, too!

Using a little inspiration from Charles Dickens- Great Expectations (fave movie!) Finnegan & Estella...

The white cliffs at Christie's Beach provided our next stunning location. I absolutely loved shooting at totally new places I'd never been before.

Phil, Jas & Pencil (Andrew)
Ok here's a couple of shots for all the classic car fans out there. My assistant Natalia was drooling when she saw (& heard!) the bridal cars. They were pretty darn cool, I must say!

Being from the East Coast, I never get to photograph the sun setting over the ocean! So there was no way I was going to miss it! I had plenty of time too as the sun sets quite late in Adelaide. I shot this photo at about 9.30pm. Beautiful, huh?
Jason & Sam's reception was a blast. Leah's husband Nathan played the most awesome music, even the bar staff were dancing when he belted out the Proclaimers '500 Miles' It was great. I'll leave you with a couple of shots taken during the speeches. I love the emotions...
