Nathan & Cherie
Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 12:27PM The music softly played and finally it was Cherie's turn to walk down the aisle, arm in arm with her proud father. I watched as Nathan's smile grew even larger and a whispered, "Oh, wow!" escaped his lips. This is the perfect beginning for a life together after a very long-distance relationship.
If these faces look familiar, it's because Nathan's older brother Mark, married Cherie's older sister Amy just over a year ago. I flew to Rockhampton, Qld last July to shoot Mark & Amy's 'Aussie Wedding' and it was there that I first noticed some long gazes & cute smiles between Nathan & Cherie. Hmm...I know what's going on here...I thought to myself! The boys are from Rockhampton, the girls Michigan. And I was so delighted to fly to the States to shoot their wedding. And in the snow! Something very rare for a Gold Coast girl. Oh, the flurries!!

It was really soo cold we ended up seeking refuge & warmth at the closest Starbucks and continuing our shoot there. It was a heap of fun & the staff were more than obliging!

So I'll end this post now with a tribute to Abbey Road. Thanks to everyone in Michigan for the wonderful time, treating us like family & also my terrific sister Manda, who travelled with me & was a fabulous assistant on Nathan & Cherie's big day! Mwah!! xx

Amy, you captured so many wonderful moments in our sweet Cherie's most special day. Those memories will keep all of us smiling for a very long time. I think you could actually do this stuff for a living!!!!!!! Ha Ha. I hope we can all get together again some day. Love, aunt Pat
